BIOGRAPHY
DR MAYANK NILAY is MD (PEDIATRICS); DM (MEDICAL GENETICS). He has a number of national and International research publications in esteemed peer reviewed journals. He is trained in various areas and aspects pertaining to Medical Genetics ( Fetal-autopsy procedures, Pre natal testing/Haemophilia/Thalassemia/SMA/IEM/Cancer Genetics and can thoroughly conduct prenatal and peri-conceptional counseling (couples with recurrent spontaneous abortions/bad obstetric history). He has been actively involved in management of children with neurometabolic conditions. In addition, he has exposure to various molecular laboratory techniques like MLPA, cytogenetic microarray, NGS based techniques and possess knowledge of the most commonly used tools and various software used in molecular genetics. His areas of special interest are clinical dysmorphology, neurogenetics, and inborn errors of metabolism, counseling and management of genetic disorders, cytogenetic and molecular testing, and genomic research. Apart from Clinical Genetics, he is well versed in General pediatrics including vaccination, emergency care, malnutrition and obesity management; with special interests in pediatric neurology, hematology, pulmonology and gastroenterology. He has started the Medical Genetics department at PGICH, Noida.
