BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Somya Prasad, is an Occupational Therapist working with the pediatric population in California, USA as a school-based OT. She completed her Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT) in 2014 from National Institute for the Orthopedically Handicapped (N.I.O.H), Kolkata, INDIA. She received her postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) in 2016 with specialization in Neurological Disorders from Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC), New Delhi, INDIA. She is also certified as an Antenatal Postnatal Exercise Specialist and Brain Gym- 104 (26 movements). She is an avid researcher, orator, and published author. Apart from journal publications, she also has published a book on the Efficacy of Virtual Reality in Spinal Cord Injured for Upper Limb Rehabilitation. She is a Reviewer and Editorial Board Member for many peer-reviewed journals and has also received the Gold medal award for the Best Poster Presenter- Rehabilitation Medicine at ISSICON 2017. She has been invited as speaker for many conferences and seminars.
