BIOGRAPHY
Patrick gained his Ph.D. degree in 2002 at the National Polytechnic of Grenoble in the field of high temperature electrochemistry and molten salts chemistry. After his post-doc at the Institute of Transuranium Elements of the Joint Research Center (European Commission) in Karlsruhe in Germany, in 2005, he joined the Research Center Dechema in Frankfurt as Research Associate, where he spent 4 years developing alloys and investigating surface treatments to improve their high temperature behaviour in harsh environments for aeronautic and power generation applications. In 2009, he was appointed as Head of Research Group at the Schools of Mines in Freiberg where he investigated the thermodynamic and thermochemical properties of slag systems for gasification and metallurgy processes. From 2012 to 2016, he was head of the Department "New Materials" at Fraunhofer supervising three research groups dealing with coatings and surface engineering, powder materials and materials recycling processes. After that, he has founded Technallium Engineering & Consulting in 2016, before being appointed as Professor at the TU Koszalin in Poland since November 2020. He has co-authored 150 publications and is reviewers for many national and international funding bodies.
