BIOGRAPHY
Dr. M. Amin Azimi is a Research Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at College of Engineering and Science (COES), Trenchless Technology Center (TTC), Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Azimi got his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Razi University, Iran and M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structure-Material) from the University of Kurdistan, Iran. He earned his Ph.D in Civil Engineering (Structure-Earthquake) from the University of Technology Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Azimi is a former faculty member at Department of Structure and Materials, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). He has more than 6 years of experience in research, teaching, and professional practice in structural, material, trenchless technology and earthquake Eng. He serves as PI/Co-PI of several projects such as PI of underground robotic project of Facebook. His research interests include the smart and innovative structures, green and innovative concrete, Sustainable/Green Technology, robotics and Trenchless Technology. He instructed undergraduate/graduate level several subjects such as Seismic Maintenance, Structural Wind and Earthquake Eng., Finite Element Analysis, Construction Technology & Design, Principle of Structures, Engineering Materials, advanced engineering surveying. At LATech he teaches undergraduate courses in the areas of material and surveying. He had been working with several organizations in the government/ private sectors for several years. Dr. Azimi has received several National/International awards for his inventions in field of innovative engineering. His latest invention "LOCKBLOCK (MULTI-FUNCTIONAL GREEN INTERLOCKING MORTARLESS CONCRETE BLOCK)" manage to win several international awards such as "Best American Inventor", Gold, and Special Award from SVIIF 2018-Silicon Valley. Gold and Special Innovation Award in iCAN2017, Gold award from SIIF2016, (Seoul International Invention Fair 2016). Dr. Azimi is active in several national and international research projects as project leader/main member.

Amin Azimi's research interests include the smart and innovative structures, green and innovative concrete, Sustainable/Green Technology, robotics and Trenchless Technology, Material and Earthquake Engineering. Reinforced Concrete & Steel Structure base research, Construction, Sustainable and Green Technology, Material Engineering, Smart and Innovative material and structural elements, Development of Bio-concrete with anti-fungal & anti-algae function, Earthquake and Wind Engineering, Finite Element Simulation and Analysis, Developing shape optimized innovative concrete mortarless block, Developing smart pavement, Trenchless Technology methods, Trenchless robotics.
