BIOGRAPHY
Muhammad Ali is Assistant Professor at Department of Mining Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FoE & Ar.), Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Pakistan. He got his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mining Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar-Pakistan. During his M.Sc. and Ph.D., he was awarded with many national and international merit scholarships. Currently, he is doing research in School of Safety Engineering (Rock Burst) from the China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou-China. He has served as Assistant Mining Engineer in Inspectorate of Mining, Minerals Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Pakistan. He also a former faculty member at Department of Technology, Abasyn University Peshawar, Pakistan. He has more than 8 years of experience in research, teaching, and professional practice in mining. He supervised different level several subjects students. At BUITEMS, he teaches undergraduate courses in the areas of rock mechanics, drilling, engineering materials, mineral processing, safety and mining law. He has published many papers in high impact factor journals. He had been working with several organizations in the government/ private sectors for several years. He is a permanent member of Pakistan Engineering Council and other international societies.
RESEARCH INTEREST
His research interests include the rock mechanics, safety, mine dust explosion, rock burst, coal and rock failure, acoustic emission and electromagnetic radiation used to predict rock failure.
