BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Dhanesh G Mohan is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) and a chartered engineer (C.Eng) currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute of Materials Joining in Shandong University, Jinan, China. He received his Ph.D., in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2019. He earned his Master of Engineering (M.E) in Manufacturing Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, India, in 2014, and he also earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India, in 2019. His research mainly focused on hybrid friction stir welding methods like Laser-assisted FSW, Ultrasonic vibration-assisted FSW, Induction assisted FSW, FSP and cryogenics, and to study and understand the mechanical, metallurgical, corrosive, and microstructural properties of these methods on metals like steel alloys, magnesium alloys, and aluminum alloys. His previous works include friction stir welding in aluminum alloys, hybrid friction stir welding of stainless steel alloys, corrosion nature, mechanical properties, and microstructure analysis in dissimilar FSW weldments.
