BIOGRAPHY
Born on January 10, 1982, Dr. Behzad Majidi is senior technical specialist of materials at Pyrotek Inc. He leads a team of researchers focusing on analyzing and developing new ceramics and refractories for a variety of applications in aluminum, steel, glass and power industries. He obtained his B.S. in materials science and engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. In 2010, he immigrated to Canada to pursue his passion in materials science at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He received the M.Sc. and PhD. degrees in materials science and engineering in 2012 and 2018 respectively. Since 2010, he has been in close collaboration with primary aluminum production industry for a variety of projects.
