BIOGRAPHY

Curd M.L. Bollen is professor and course leader in implant dentistry at the College of Medicine & Dentistry (Birmingham - UK). He graduated in 1992 as dentist (DDS) at the Catholic University Leuven (B). In 1996 he received his PhD, in 1997 he finished his MSc in periodontology & implantology (Leuven). In 2016 he became MClinDent (University of the Pacific, US). Bollen published more than 35 articles in international dental journals and was co-author of 8 books/chapters in books. He is editor in chief of the Journal of Dental Health, Oral Disorders & Therapy. He was consultant at the universities of Leuven, Liege, Nijmegen, Bonn and Dusseldorf. In Dusseldorf he was clinical assistant professor. He was also senior clinical lecturer at the university of Manchester (UK). Curd Bollen leads a clinic in the Netherlands. He is active in periodontology, implant dentistry and halitosis. Since 2018 he is scientific board member of the European Society for Ceramic Implantology (ESCI). He is key opinion leader for several ceramic dental implant companies.

RESEARCH INTEREST

He research interest are ceramic dental implants, LPRF, short implants and halitosis.
