BIOGRAPHY
After his studies in dental school, Dr. Lionel Hui Bon Hoa continued to deepen his knowledge with a master' s degree in biological and medical sciences at the University of Paris V. At the same time, he practised general dentistry. In 2003, he began the orthodontics postgraduate degree (four-year training program) that leads him to a M.S. degree and allowed him to have the title of specialist. He then worked in parallel as an associate orthodontist in various orthodontic practices. From 2005, he practised at the Institut de Prophylaxie Dentaire Infantile in Paris, a government clinic specialized in orthodontics. And, because teaching is also learning, Dr. Hui Bon Hoa will also participate in the theoretical and clinical teaching of future specialists at the Paris V faculty and the Georges Pompidou Hospital Paris, as a university hospital assistant. In 2010, he left the Paris region and took over an orthodontic practice in Divonne-les-Bains, next to Geneva while seeking the improvement of his practice by obtaining a certificate in lingual orthodontics. Always anxious to be able to work on "data learn from research", Dr. Hui Bon Hoa equipped his practice in 2011 with a Cone Beam 3D and passed the dento-maxillo-facial imaging certificate (Paris V). His exercise in child, adult, Invisalign and lingual orthodontics combined with his former generalist practice allows him to have a multidisciplinary global view of the patient and to work closely with the general dentist, particularly in adult orthodontics. After being an international Invisalign speaker (EMEA and APAC Summits) and a Henry Schein speaker (Carriere Motion) for 5 years, he decided to leave his comfort zone having new challenges. His experience with Invisalign leaded him to switch to the other side to try to do his best to improve the product and to best meet the needs of his colleagues. He is now the clinical lead of APAC for Align Technology as the senior director, clinical, APAC and is part of the leadership team.
