BIOGRAPHY
Dr. David Alfaiate, Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery by the Portuguese Dental Association is Co-Founder and Director of the SPI-Research Center (Surgery, Periodontology and Implant Research Center) and also Co-Founder and Chairman of the Fiscal Council of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Dental Medicine (APMDH). Regarding clinical activity, he has private practice exclusively in the field of Oral Surgery, Implant Dentistry and Periodontology. In an academic aspect he is Invited Professor at Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute (ICBAS) and also Invited Professor at Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). As an international speaker, he is Invited Professor for several Lectures, Courses and Workshops in many countries. In the Clinical and Scientific Community he is an active member of the European Society for Ceramic Implantology (ESCI) and the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO). Regarding his evolution in relation to his graduation he is currently in a PhD program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona and he is Graduated in several University programs, in Oral Surgery, Implantology and Periodontology. In the field of research, he is author of several published scientific articles and chapters published in international books. He is also KOL and consultant and also supports in the development of several products in the field of Implantology, Periodontology and Oral Surgery.
