Dr. Chawla is a leading expert in the field of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in India. With a wide array of experience she has been at the forefront of clinical interventions, innovations, teaching and research at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She has a wide number of publications in International and National journals of repute. She has Worked on CBCT assisted morphological assessment of mental foramen which is an important landmark in endodontic surgeries and was presented at an international forum. Researching on a wide-ranging project to find a replacement for silver amalgam restoration with an alternative that can help usher a new paradigm in dental restorations. Research and thesis underway on application of pit-and-fissure sealants in adults to help arrest the advancement of dental caries and help improve overall dental health. Working on the wide subject of Endo-Perio lesions to chart new clinical modalities to improve disease prognosis . Conducting research on awareness on consequences of dental trauma and its management by parents in young children
